Will I be seeing Chapter Honour on store shelves?
No. The license with Id specifies an "online only" distribution, so the only way to get the game will be to download it. Various payment options will be available, including online credit card, as well as mailing in cash or a check.
When will the full game be available?
When the game is completed, and license negotiations with Id and a payment processor are finalized. While I can't give a date, this should be sometime this summer.
Quake 1 is dead. Why aren't you doing this in Quake 2/Half Life/Unreal/etc.?
First of all, Quake 1 is most certainly not dead. Many people still have computers that are not capable of smoothly running a newer engine. Besides, the game is nearly complete, and to port it to a new engine would require completely starting over. However, there is a possibility a future version will be created with a new engine, but a new license agreement will have be worked out for it to become a possibility.
Why are there just Space Marines? Are you doing Orks, Eldar, or other armies, too?
Space Marines were chosen for many reasons, mostly due to the large variety of unit types and equipment with a relatively small number of models. Other armies are being considered, but will not appear until after the success of the patch as a whole, and when we as a team have the time to develop the necessary resources. The most likely addition would be Chaos Marines.
What about a Space Hulk mode?
Space Hulk mode was cancelled due to licensing issues (EA has exclusive rights to it).
Can I make maps for CH?
Yes, but not until after the game is released, for obvious reasons (you need to test your maps as you make them...). If you wish to apply to be an official map designer, please see the news section for details on the application requirements.
You say this is a deathmatch-only game, why no single/coop?
Single player and cooperative modes will still "work", I'm too much of a fan of those modes to simply let them be unavailable. However, most work has been done toward the deathmatch modes, because the game is designed to be like the tabletop game, and also because developing single/coop takes a great deal more resources than deathmatch (i.e. monsters). However, having said that, I do hope to make available an add-on that better incorporates single/coop modes, and hopefully an "episode" of levels to accompany it.
Is this 2nd or 3rd edition Warhammer 40,000 rules?
Chapter Honour uses exclusively 2nd edition rules. By the time 3rd edition was released, the code was already complete.
